Immediately before rejoining HPC in May 2022, Dr. Kreisler was Medical Director at WellSense, the healthcare plan at Boston Medical Center. Just earlier, she was CMO for Vibrant Health of Kansas City—a Federally Qualified Health Center, like HPC—where she managed all medical staff and led a recruiting and hiring team. Concurrent to those roles, she served as Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Kreisler’s medical education and training primarily occurred in her native West Virginia at the West Virginia University Health System, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her Internship and Residency in Pediatrics. She came to the Midwest in 2003 to serve as an Attending Physician at Children’s Mercy – Kansas City.

Active well beyond her immediate roles, Dr. Kreisler is currently President-elect of the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has participated in medical mission work in Haiti and Guatemala.

Dr. Kreisler has a passion for helping under-resourced communities, especially refugees and those facing challenges relate to diversity, equity and inclusion, saying, “I really believe that we’ll be a stronger organization as we continue to bring more diverse people to the table, and they have even more of a voice in the decision-making.”

She lives in Overland Park, Kan. with her husband, four children and two puppies. Dr. Kreisler enjoys outdoor activities, with camping, biking and hiking among the family’s favorites.
