Kelly D. Kreisler, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Kreisler returns to HPC as Chief Health Officer (CHO), having previously served as Chief Medical Officer from 2013-2014. She is a board-certified pediatrician and President-elect for the Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In practice since 2003, Dr. Kreisler earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at West Virginia University Hospital and a Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine where she also completed her general pediatrics internship and residency. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed two years of clinical fellowship in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
Dr. Kreisler came to the Midwest from her native West Virginia 2003 to serve as an Attending Physician at Children’s Mercy – Kansas City and has since gained extensive teaching experience. Beginning in 2010, she has served as Assistant Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Her management experience includes serving as CMO at Vibrant Health in Kansas City—a Federally Qualified Health Center, like HPC—and as Medical Director for the WellSense Health Plan of Boston Medical Center, as well as Medical Director for Reach Out and Read Kansas City.
With proven experience in quality improvement, team leadership and strategic growth, Dr. Kreisler will elevate HPC’s performance and enhance its role in the community.
Dr. Kreisler and her family reside in Overland Park, Kan. She and her husband have four children and two puppies. They love being outdoors, where camping, hiking and biking are family-favorite activities.
