In each stage of my journey, I have strived to learn as much as possible with the goal of being as effective as I can be in my roles and leading with heart.”
Krista is Health Partnership Clinic’s Dental Operations Manager—and a hygienist—working primarily from our Olathe Clinic. In this dual role, she oversees our dental providers and monitors training, performance and process improvement. She also sees patients, performs outreach and manages equipment supply levels to best support our community.
Krista has come full circle, having earlier served her practicum at HPC while earning her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the UMKC School of Dentistry. She later became lead dental hygienist and director of operations at Lenexa Family Dental, where she gained valuable experience in individualized patient care, business strategy, culture and human resources.
Krista said of her prior HPC experience, “I was incredibly inspired, and my heart was very connected, with the mission and purpose of this community resource in the multiple counties we serve. I’ve always had a heart for public health, so it felt like a great fit then—and even more so now.”
Always community minded, Krista has served on the UMKC Alumni Governing Board and the UMKC Dental Hygiene Alumni Association Board. She has reviewed grant applications and awarded scholarships to students and professionals and created a partnership that offered free dental exams to single mothers at The Single Mom KC.
