Our school-based health clinic provides medical, behavioral health and dental services to all Shawnee Mission School District students and their siblings, three to 20 years old, on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In person or virtual appointments are available, and walk-ins are accommodated, if the schedule permits.

Services are available to new and established patients. We also offer free Medicaid and Marketplace insurance enrollment.

Fees

The clinic accepts KanCare/Medicaid, commercial insurance and uninsured patients. A sliding fee program is available to those who qualify based on income and household size. Students will be expected to pay a copay.

Prepare for your visit

What to bring to your appointment:

  • Driver’s license or Picture ID card
  • Insurance card (if insured)
  • Copay – we accept credit, debit, cash or check
  • Immunization records, if available
  • Medication list

Don’t forget:

  • At the time of the visit, verbal consent from the parent or guardian is required to receive our services if you are 17 or younger.
  • Be on time if you have an appointment, or it may be rescheduled.
  • If you need to cancel an appointment, do so at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Bring a book or other activity to keep you busy, in case you must wait.
  • If you are not feeling ill, eat something before you arrive. Eating and drinking are not allowed in the clinic.
  • Wear a mask. The safety of you and our team are critical.
