Dr. El-Halawany is a board-certified pediatrician who earned a Doctor of Medicine by completing the combined six-year program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where she also earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts.
In practice since 2007, she completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County in Orange, Calif. Also in Southern California, Dr. El-Halawany gained clinical experience at Clinica CHOC Para Los Ninos and the PSF Cardiology Clinic. She speaks English, Spanish and Arabic.
After later working in private practice in the Denver, Colo., Dr. El-Halawany returned to the Kansas City area in 2012 to work at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, where she was both a clinical practitioner and instructor of medical students and residents.
Dr. El-Halawany is excited to join Health Partnership Clinic because to her, it feels like a private practice where she can enjoy the ability to care for everyone, regardless of their insurance status, and make a greater contribution to the community.
An avid traveler and reader, she cares for children through age 21 at our Shawnee Mission Clinic.
